Were you there?…. Well let me tell you that if you didn’t manage to make it to this fabulous event, oh boy did you miss a fantastic night! Many many thanks to all those who came, to those who provided the ‘Course’ and delicious ‘Nose Bag’; The Assembly Rooms in Lincoln’s Bailgate, to those who sponsored the ‘Classics, Chases, Derby’s, Trophy’s, Hurdles and Cups’ as shown in the little slideshow below and finally to those of you who donated your hard earned ‘Pony’s’ for a well deserving cause… we raised over a massive £1500!! A huge thank you also goes to these three ladies; Laura Scott, Debra Jacklin and her family and Jenny Gorton without whose efforts the night would not have ‘run the course’ ;o)
My Experience starts back in 2009 when I finally plucked up the courage to get involved with some volunteer work The programme I enrolled on involved living and working in one of the most notorious slums in Kenya, The Kawangare slum in the country’s capital Nairobi. My duties included helping out in a rural clinic called the Wema Clinic working under the direction of Dr George Guto. Dr George gets paid a very small amount of money and travels to the Wema clinic to help the people of his country.
